About this role:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, Kennedy-Donovan Center, Inc. (KDC) has a position open for its Revenue Manager. The Revenue Manger develops and maintains KDC state and 3rd party funding contracts and manages all billing and collections for program services under these contracts.

In this role, you will get to:

  • Partners with program leadership on developing, negotiating, and amending all funding budgets and contracts.
  • Is KDC lead with all funders fiscal officers to implement and execute contracts
  • Partner with program leadership on all budget aspects of state contract Request for Response “RFR’s.”
  • Leads KDC knowledge of MA Agency contract and third-party insurance companies’ concepts, laws, and regulations.
  • Oversee and direct contract management and billing activities to ensure maximum financial potential.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision of Contract Billing Specialist and Third-Party Billing Supervisor and team.
  • Responsible for the hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of entire revenue team.
  • Design and maintain all revenue information systems to produce timely and relevant budget, revenue, and billing data for internal decision-making purposes and for meeting funding agency, regulatory and other external requirements.
  • Manages the overall revenue functions of the organization by establishing and ensuring compliance of accounting policies and procedures related to revenues and related operational procedures.
  • Partner with the Controller in the annual independent audit and other compliance audits to ensure all revenue records are maintained in accordance with applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations as well as accounting standards set forth by FASB, DPS and funding agencies.
  • Monitor program budgets for internal use, funding agencies proposals and contract amendments.
  • Partner with the Controller in all financial analysis, conducting non-financial compliance audits, developing pro forma budgets, and creating projections to aid in programmatic and financial decision-making.
  • Partner in the generation of annual MA Uniform Financial Statements (UFR).
  • Perform other professional duties as requested.

We are looking for people who has:

  • Advanced degree or equivalent preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Manager level or similar previous non-profit revenue experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in State Contracting/Billing
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Third Party Contracting/Billing
  • Strong computer skills including accounting, spreadsheet, and word processing software; excellent supervisory, written, and verbal communication, interpersonal, technological, and organizational skills.
  • Significant experience with revenue and billing information systems, budgeting and team leadership preferred
  • Blackbaud Financial Edge Accounting Software and/or Thom Biller experience is desirable. 

The physical requirements for this role are:

  • Ability to sit for extended time periods
  • Frequent phone and video use required
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • High level computer and Micro Soft applications
  • Moderate travel required
