Kenco Engineering is Hiring a Receiving Associate Near Tulsa, OK

Purpose of Job:

Receive, inspect and deliver incoming material according to company procedures. Pull product, inspect for accuracy, packaging, processing. Ship finished product to meet customer requirements and under the guidance and direction of the Shipping & Receiving department Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:

1. Unpack and examine incoming materials, identifies and reject damaged goods, records shortages, and corresponds with Purchasing Dept. to rectify damages and/or shortages.

2. Verifies specifications of incoming materials against Kenco drawings and other company specifications to verify that incoming material is acceptable and within tolerance. Perform material testing when necessary.

3. Reconciles inspected incoming material with purchase orders and packing slips to verify all information and material purchased is correct.

4. Prepares receiving documents for Purchasing. Forward all documents and corresponding paperwork to Purchasing Dept. each day.

5. Break down and separate incoming shipments for delivery to safety stock area and assembly departments. Follow safety stock procedures.

6. Notify supervisor of any assembly or specification problems.

7. Organize and schedule incoming vendor deliveries. Organize and schedule outgoing shipments that require additional processing, i.e. zinc plating, galvanizing, etc.

8. Delivers materials to outside companies using company truck. Prepares these outside shipments for safe transport to destination. Follows all traffic laws. Practices safe defensive driving at all times.

9. Keep company truck, forklift, and other company equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.

10. Maintains a clean, safe, work environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.

11. Document actions by completing production, quality and check list forms.

12. Pull, gather, organize, and load orders for delivery, ensuring specifications and quantities match the sales order and packing slips.

13. Count, weigh, and measure items on outgoing shipments to verify information against sales order/packing list.

14. Determine most effective way of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures.

15. Prepare labels and other identifying information for shipments.

16. Post and log shipping entries and reports via company shipping software on computer systems.

17. Affix shipping labels on packed cartons and correct shipping identification on out-going containers.

18. Assemble wooden or cardboard containers as necessary.

19. Fill in voids in the packaging with the appropriate materials, i.e. spacers, peanuts, cardboard, hot foam, etc. Use protective padding when applicable.

20. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies utilizing the safety stock procedures in place.

21. When necessary, deliver materials or goods to outside companies using company truck. Prepare these outside shipments for safe transport to destinations while obeying all traffic laws.

22. Be willing to work in a team environment, maintaining a friendly and positive work demeanor and a can-do attitude, with a willingness to help others as needed.

23. Operate forklift and other department machinery to move outgoing shipments into docks and trucks. When necessary, assist receiving to move material through warehouse and shipping areas and prepare incoming materials.

24. Contribute to a team environment by maintaining a friendly, positive work demeanor and a can-do attitude. Have a willingness to help others as needed.

25. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

1. Good oral and written communication skills

2. Able to make sound decisions while performing daily task

3. Valid State Drivers' License

4. Ability to stand on your feet 6 to 8 hours daily

5. Pass a tape measure test

6. Must be able to pass MVR check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
