Purpose of Job: Assemble department subassemblies and product lines under the guidance and direction of the department supervisor.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
1. Use company tooling and fixtures in a safe, efficient manner.
2. Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and other materials for work to be performed.
3. Follow step by step procedures for building and testing assemblies by following assembly instructions, drawings, and bills of materials.
4. Prepare items for final assembly and packaging.
5. Document actions by completing production, quality, and checklist forms.
6. Maintain department inventories according to company rules. Follow safety stock procedures to replenish inventories.
7. Notify supervisor of any assembly or specification problems. Follow procedures for non-conforming products.
8. Keep company equipment and fixtures operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
9. Maintain a clean, safe, work environment by complying with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
10. Contribute to a team environment by maintaining a friendly, positive work demeanor and a can-do attitude. Have a willingness to help others as needed.
11. Maintain safe, clean, friendly environment that fosters teamwork and quality output
12. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or company management. Other duties may be assigned.
