Responsibilities

This position is responsible for provider outreach in support of developing and maintaining positive & professional relationships with currentand potential Kelsey-Seybold and KelseyCare Advantage providers to ensure stable and geographically disperse networks for the Kelsey-Seybold commercial and Medicare Advantage health plans and KS Plan Administrators’ health plan products. Provider relations functionswill include providing education, training, guidance, claims resolution and other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full Time 

Salary Range: $58,223.20 to $76,417.95 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

(A = basics; B = preferred)

Education

A.

Bachelor’s Degree (1-year experienceequivalent to 1 year of college)

B.

5 years’ experience in applicable healthcareadministrative operations.

Experience

A.

3 years contract negotiation experience at ahealth plan or medical group.

3-5 years’ experience in provider relations

B.

Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability tointerpret provider contracts.

Licenses

A.

Valid Texas Driver’s License and ability to trave

B.

Willingness to engage in local business travel

Communication

 

Demonstrated knowledge of CPT and ICD-9coding and prior experience withreimbursement methodologies

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Analytical and problem-solving skills; abilityto communicate effectively in writing andverbally

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;demonstrated ability to perform multipleconcurrent tasks with minimal supervisionand meet deadlines

Demonstrated public speaking andpresentation skills

Proficient with Access and PowerPoint

Capable of managing a variety of complex issueswhile driving momentum of key projects
