kdc/one is Hiring an Equipment Operator - 3rd Shift Near New Albany, OH

Scope: This position is responsible for operating and maintaining major equipment on the production lines in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOP’s), work instructions (WI) in a safe, efficient, cost effective and quality focused atmosphere. Environmental/Safety: Follows, promotes and enforces KDC’s safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures. Safety is everyone’s responsibility and is paramount that everyone makes smart, conscious decisions and works in a safe manner. Notify immediate Supervisor of any unsafe working conditions. Quality: Work with management and QA to ensure that the quality of the product meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Proficient in all Packaging Operator responsibilities/accountabilities. Follow all company safety polices and PPE requirements. Operates and maintains major equipment, including but not limited to fillers, labelers, automated bottle sorters and auto-packers. Prepares and performs minor repairs and adjustments on equipment to maximize production runs or to identify equipment malfunctions or abnormal operations to the Process Mechanic and Team Leader or Management. Prepares and maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with applicable SOP’s and WI’s. Perform assigned machine cleanings of fragrance or comas necessary Assists Mechanics with Preventative Maintenance (PM) on equipment. Random or required finished good inspections throughout the shift to ensure finished products meet quality specifications and contain the correct codes on finished goods units and boxes. Performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company’s quality system and FDA good manufacturing practices, includes always maintaining a clean and orderly production area. Update production boards or scan appropriate bar codes to track production downtime events. Assist in the training of new or existing employees. Functions as a back-up to the Team Lead as requested by management. Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. HS Diploma or GED equivalent is highly preferred. In lieu of Diploma or GED, years of experience, knowledge, skills and fit will be considered. SAP and HMI experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to promote and participate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. Ability to adapt to rotating assignments with a positive attitude and results. Strong problem solving, analytical methods and technical skills. Good understanding of FDA Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations (GMP’s) and OSHA safety requirements. Self-starter with strong work ethic and positive attitude. Strong communication (both written and oral), interpersonal, team building and organizational skills. Must be able to understand and complete procedure documents in accordance with SOPs and WIs. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time efficiently and effectively. Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Able to work overtime & weekends as required. Wear hairnet (if required), safety glasses, hearing protection, long pants, closed footwear (steel toe shoes/boots-if required) and any other uniform standards. Ability to read and interpret documents and policies for operating and maintenance instructions and for safety rules. Must be a role model, motivator, and driver of results. Basic reading and math skills. Must be detail oriented and able to follow and give direction. Basic mechanical aptitude. Sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place. Lift items up to 50 lbs.
