This position applies cell therapy and engineering expertise to complex process engineering projects in support of support process development and tech transfer to manufacturing. Under the direction of the Senior Process Engineer, execute laboratory studies to support transfer of new processes into Development. Develop relevant cell therapy unit operations in preparation for tech transfer of processes into manufacturing. Contribute to protocols and reports describing Process Engineering work. Support tech transfer activities by authoring relevant sections of MBRs and process transfer documentation describing how the process will be operated in manufacturing. Participate in training of the Manufacturing staff on new processes and technologies and provide on-the-floor support during tech transfer runs and beyond as necessary for critical process operations. Provide technical support for manufacturing of cell therapy products. This includes troubleshooting of process performance issues continued development of process improvements and efficiencies. Experience: B.S. in Biology or Biochemical Engineering or higher. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in biopharmaceutical process development or process engineering and at least 1 year of experience supporting cell therapy manufacturing. Salary Range: Engineer II: 80,000 - 95,000K Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
