Kaufman Dolowich Voluck is Hiring a Litigation Associate Near Woodbury, NY

Overview

The Long Island office of Kaufman Dolowich, a nationally recognized AV-rated® firm is seeking an associate attorney with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in general liability insurance defense litigation including premises, NY Labor Law, and/or vertical transportation.

This is a unique opportunity for a motivated attorney seeking to grow with an expanding practice. The successful candidate will be expected to handle all aspects of a case including conducting discovery, corresponding with clients and counsel, depositions, motion practice, oral argument, court conferences, mediations/settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of insurance defense matters.
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from inception through resolution.
  • Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
  • Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Qualifications

  • JD from an ABA accredited Law School.
  • Admitted in NY.
  • A minimum of 4 years of insurance defense and general liability litigation experience.
  • Outstanding research, writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.

The annual compensation for this position is $110,000- $140,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
