Job Summary Produce detailed drawings of parts and assemblies, along with creating bills of materials in the design of electro-magnetic generators conforming to industry standards. Create and approve Engineering Change Orders based on production, supplier, or customer feedback. Job Description • With Direct Supervision: o Review order details and layout a design plan for each order o Create customer drawings and top-level assembly drawings for new orders o Respond to shop requests for design improvements or drawing updates to make production easier and safer o Meet with the local Engineering team to discuss active projects and divide workload o Create BOM’s and other documentation to support manufacturing o Work with design engineering team under the direction of an engineer to advance new product introductions and redesign of existing products o Effectively communicate with manufacturing and customers through engineering change orders and reports o Create master items and BOM’s in Oracle (ERP) o Support New Product Development activities o Other duties and activities as instructed by the manager • Without Direct Supervision: o Update existing parts per shop or customer requests and search for usable existing parts for each order o Respond to customer request for drawings and solid models o Review item design data for Oracle (ERP) and/or Aras (PLM) item attribute classification o Ability to develop and design new parts and assemblies independently and as part of a team Additional Job Details • Proficient in PTC Creo or Similar 3D modeling software • Experience in AutoCAD • Proficient with GD&T • 3-7 years related work experience • Proficient with use of various software applications, including but not limited to: Oracle (ERP), Aras (PLM), AutoCAD, Creo, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office • Good written/oral communication and organizational skills • Knowledge of product construction and manufacturing processes EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Nidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
