Kani Solutions Inc is Hiring an IT Project Manager Near Andes, NY

Position Summary:

The Project Manager (PM) will maintain, manage, and oversee quality control for the project portfolio for the Data Integration Services (DIS) Team.

This Project Manager will partner with the team leadership to set project objectives, allocate resources, and set milestones, deliverables, and success criteria to shepherd projects to successful completion, on time and within budget.

Essential Functions:

  • The immediate project is related to migrating from existing technology to a new platform. Any experience handling complex upgrade and/or migration project is required
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines that identify resource and budgetary needs.
  • Ensure project costs are under budget, recognizing warning signs that a project could trigger delays or budget over run.
  • Coordinate and manage communication between the BA, Development team, other members of the IT or client teams to define requirements, project goals, status, and define delivery timeframes.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge business partner requirements and coordinate with various IT teams and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Prepare portfolio status reports for Leadership.
  • Facilitate and document risk assessments and communicate and escalate project issues as required.
  • Coordinate the development of documentation to enable implementation and turnover of the process or system
  • Coordinate with the business analyst and liaison teams to validate the development and monitoring of all documents necessary to complete unit, system, QA, and end user testing. Include development of use cases, test plans, defect tracking for system implementations.
  • Communicate with project sponsors and stakeholders to keep the project aligned with their goals.
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to the team members.
  • Manage deadlines and push the team to ensure timeliness.
  • Develop internal communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between various departments and organization.
  • Host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers.
  • Use specific tools and technics (e.g. Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, etc.) to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team members.
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
  • Facilitate the documentation of customer requirements and business process using document analysis, requirements workshops, business process description, and use case scenarios.
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project or financing for the project change

Education, Skills And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, project management, or business-related field of study.
  • PMP Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing larger scale projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business processes, systems, and data processing.
  • Experience in partnering with IT teams and coordinating individuals from different disciplines and teams in a combined effort to achieve project success.
  • Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project Plan)
  • Experience and understanding of business processes and agile methodologies
  • Understanding of both application and database design (database schemas)
  • Strength in relational database & data architecture
  • Leadership skills: able to direct the operations of a project unit to ensure set goals are achieved
  • Problem-solving skills: apply project management principles and methodologies in seeking solutions to project problems
  • Analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business requirements needs and translate them into application and process requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,008.74 - $130,571.12 per year
