Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Associate Engineer to join our team in Bloomfield, CT, to provide technical ball bearing support to the US sales team and customer base. Technical support includes the use of theoretical calculators, bearing expertise, industry know-how, and failure mode investigations. Manage multiple projects and act as point of contact for a diverse team both domestically and Germany HQ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work directly with the end customer on product requirements. Assist sales team by creating presentations and technical documents.
• Manage multiple projects from concept to production while acting as point of contact for all supporting departments.
• Use theoretical bearing calculators to determine best fit for product and application recommendations.
• Investigate returned bearing for failure modes analyses. Provide customers with detailed investigation reports that outlines findings.
• Review and submit product cost for quote proposals. Coordinate with multiple teams on new component cost and tooling requirements.
• Makes recommendations for improvements to SOP documents and processes.
• Maintain the organization structure of all folders, documents, and project management tools.
• Accompany sales team for customer visits as technical support for new project reviews and promotional presentations.
• Use strong communications skills to provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning of other positions.

Qualifications

Education:

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline. Near completion or completed required.

Experience: 

• 0-3 years in engineering environment required. Engineering internships/co-ops is acceptable.
