Technical Writer

Job Summary

KAI Partners, Inc is currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and self-directed Technical Writer with service delivery experience for operations in the greater Sacramento area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, documenting, and updating IT service delivery, business analysis, and project management processes in a State environment
• Responsible for assessing and documenting issues and prepare recommendations for how to implement solutions
• Take direction from the Senior Project Manager and provide support as requested
• Support State management and staff in the delivery of project management and portfolio management service offerings
• Measure, as directed, service delivery process and performance by creating regular dashboards and status reports
• Provide timelines and tactical solutions for resolving the most concerning issues related to process and service delivery effectiveness in a project management office setting
• Provide executive presentations and technical documentation
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, delivery partners, community organizations, and industry associations
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, business intelligence, remote communications)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Five (5) additional years, beyond the mandatory two (2) years of experience providing project management support services and/or Business Analysis encompassing all skill areas of Government Agency 
• Five (5) years, if the project was a State Operated, Federally Funded Healthcare System DDI project
• Five (5) years, if the project was a State Operated, Federally Funded Medicaid Processing system DDI project
• At least two (2) years of FTE experience performing IT Business Analysis and/or Technical Writing where writing and designing process solutions was required
