Kahler Hotels is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Rochester, MN

Overview

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team on all personnel matters for all hotels with Kahler Grand Hospitality: Kahler Grand (Towers 10 ½ & 11th floors), Kahler Inn Suites, Residence Inn & Marriott. HR Generalist responsibilities include processing employee data, updating company policies and assisting in the hiring process.The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day functions of the Human Resource team and provides efficient human resources service and support to internal and external guests. This role performs various HR duties in areas such as recruiting, employment, benefits, employee relations and special projects. Serves as a point of contact for employees and answers questions regarding HR and/or Company policies and procedures. Provide value added administrative and technical support to the Human Resources team and organization consistent with business strategies and culture. All practices are in keeping with the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity. 

 

Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Maintain all employee information in all forms of paper or electronic according to Human Resources guidelines and legal requirements
  • Ensure all necessary documents and records exceed legal requirements. Filing of all HR documents into proper location and maintaining accuracy of file room and cabinets. Perform employment verifications as requested.
  • Compile reports as needed and requested by leaders of the organization
  • Partner with the Human Resources team to keep all communication mediums. Responsible for organizational communication to include employee intranet, employee marketing pieces, internal announcements and/or verbal communication. Ensure effective targeting of messages and protect confidentiality and integrity
  • Support Human Resources with the day-to-day benefit administration and resolve administration/policy issues and questions
  • Support Human Resources Benefit Manager with timely accurate enrollment of new hires, qualifying events, terms and data transmission to 3rd parties. Supports all aspects of the annual open enrollment process, including preparing associate communication materials.
  • Management of Workers Compensation Support Human Resources Benefits Manager with FMLA, and LOA
  • Periodically performs or oversees quality and administrative audits of plans.
  • Assist with Wellness Program tracking
  • Other duties assigned 

Talent Acquisition

  • Assist in maintaining iCIMS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Assist in administering all sourcing, screening and selection process
  • Assist with applicant flow as guide
  • Visually screen applications
  • Conduct preliminary phone interviews
  • Assist with tracking and reporting

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred but not required

  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred but not required
  • Long periods of Standing and Sitting
  • Able to lift 20 pounds
