K2 Kinetics is currently accepting candidates for a Field Service Technician position in the Service department of our York, PA office. The candidate will interface and support our customers and partners in multiple functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installation/onsite coordination, operator and maintenance training, troubleshooting, component replacement, as well as other tasks as necessary. 

K2 Kinetics provides packaging solutions, including case packing and robotic palletizing equipment to the food and beverage industries. This position is approximately 60-80% Travel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, service, maintenance and training.
• Understanding of mechanical/electrical components and how they are used on packaging machinery.
• Controls systems understanding and the ability to connect to the Allen Bradley PLC.
• Understanding of how to read and ability to alter 2D schematics.
• Perform troubleshooting/repair/component replacement at the customer’s site.
• Provide service and technical interface between customer and K2 Kinetics.
• Advise customer on operation, maintenance, and modifications.
• Monitor cost and expenses as it relates to projects, service, and parts.
• Respond to phone support as requested and/or assigned.
• Evaluate and determine solutions while in the field.
• Record accurate time, services, parts, and expenses associated with job, machine, and location.
• Any and all other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor to help benefit K2 Kinetics.

Who are we looking for?

• 2 Years of Mechanical/Electrical Experience, Preference given to work in the packaging/OEM industry.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills.
• Experience and proficient operation of Google Docs/Sheets/Calendars (Microsoft experience acceptable).
• Self-motivated individual willing to go the extra mile.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• An excellent communicator who communicates clearly and effectively, even in difficult situations.
• A team player willing to have fun, work hard and excel in a competitive environment.
• You are solution oriented, and unafraid to think outside of the box to solve problems.

Education and Experience:

• 2 Years of Mechanical/Electrical Experience, Preference given to work in the packaging/OEM industry
• Experience in the following software packages: Fanuc RoboGuide/PalletPro, AB Controls Software, and AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software.
• MET or EET degree or program preferred, but not required base on experience level
• High School diploma required
