Jump Start is in search of an inventory specialist to join our growing team!!

The Inventory Specialist will maintain the organizations inventory by providing accurate counts and reporting shrink.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Creates schedules for counting inventory at all stores.
• Conducts monthly physical audits of critical inventory.
• Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical audits for non-critical inventory.
• Identifies large count variances and works with the store managers to ensure the accuracy of the counts.
• Assists with understanding inventory shrink.
• Reports any issues identified during the counts, such as possible theft, clerk training, and Pricebook issues to inventory control manager.
• Provides inventory reports to inventory control manager.
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with managers and co-workers.
• Performs other related duties as requested.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
• Proficient keyboarding skills.
• Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with managers.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with computerized inventory systems required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and bending
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
