Your Role as Production Supervisor:
- Leads by example, promoting a positive and safe work environment for the team.
- Sense of urgency to escalate people safety, quality and/or food safety issues.
- Leadership presence on the plant floor, actively demonstrating respect for all people, product, processes, equipment and customers.
- Effectively communicates expectations, providing timely feedback on employee performance, and taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Assist with facilitating coverage across shifts for PTO and absences. Weekends as needed.
- Ensures adherence to Food Safety & Quality program and all other polices within company handbook.
- Promotes and uses electronic operations management software installed to track productivity, employee training and other company processes and procedures.
- Collaborates with Supervisors and Area Leaders to ensure proper focus, resources and tools are being used to drive positive operational results.
- Facilitates daily pre-shift and mid shift huddles, conducts interviews, identifies areas of opportunity and implements adjustments where needed.
- Identifying areas within the team where additional training or leadership presence would be beneficial.
- Assist with supervisory coverage across shifts for PTO and absences. Weekends as needed.
- Hold mid-year and year-end performance discussions with assigned reports.
3 years supervisory experience required.
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting (up to 100lbs), typing, bending, twisting, climbing and standing.
- Primarily in a bakery manufacturing setting, including refrigerated or frozen areas.
- Regular team events, awards, and company picnics.
