Job Title: Program Assistant
Supervisor: Executive Director
Salary: Dependent on Qualifications
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
· Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience working with substance use disorders preferred.
· Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft applications and electronic health records.
· Knowledge of government assistance programs including medical assistance and general assistance.
· Valid Minnesota Driver’s License and no major driving citations in the past seven (7) years.
· Must be able to pass background check by DHS and a national background check.
· Must be able to pass drug screen.
· If applicant has a substance abuse history, he/she must be in compliance with DHS regulations. Two years of confirmed abstinence from all mood altering substances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide daily assistance in support of treatment programs.
· Provide support to residential and outpatient counselors as needed.
· Transport clients to various appointments and community events.
· Schedule guest speakers for residential and outpatient groups.
· Work collaboratively with clinical staff for projects that enhance existing programs.
· Assist clients with scheduling appointments and applying for government assistance.
· Provide clients with resources for housing, school, and employment as needed.
· Provide clerical support as needed.
· Complete other duties as assigned by staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
