Description:
This individual provides direction to scrum team quality engineers who focus on test automation, performance engineering and Agile testing best practices. This candidate will have 5-7 years leading multiple scrum team to achieve quality outcomes. GBS IT operates using modern technology that includes:
Enterprise Java applications that integrate SAAS Operating platforms via Spring Batch and Spring Microservices
Cloud Data Platforms built using AWS data services including RedShift, S3, Spectrum and Python based Ingestion pipelines orchestrated via AWS Step functions. Our architecture is a Lakehouse architecture that provides governance using a data mesh to provide analytical, AI and reporting capabilities via a Data Hub that exposes the data used for cross application integration. These integrations our based on the Java stack mentioned in the first bullet.
An extensive tool chain that includes Selenium, JMeter, QuerySurge and Rest Assured/PostMan.
Duties/Responsibilities
Create a Reporting model that informs senior leadership of critical quality engineering progress, that includes schedule/timelines and critical milestones, critical metrics that provide confidence and measurable indicators
Drive Agile testing methods including Test Driven Design and paired programming techniques that define quality expectations up front in a collaborative model that enables software and quality engineers to confirm requirements and work in parallel to ensure that both competencies are peer reviewing dependent deliverables
Servant leader to scrum team quality engineers
Ensures performance engineering best practices that includes defining performance expectations for each workload through Epic/User Storie non-functional requirements and to ensure scrum teams validate the conformance to NFRs at the component level for scrum team deliverables
Creates the Test Strategy that governs the approach to achieve intended quality outcomes
Continuously curates the regression test bed and ensures that manual tests eventually convert to automated tests
Builds a Test Data Management model that ensures that test data required is available in lower environments, including synthetic data creation to support code functional conditions
Ensures that deliverables are peer reviewed to confirm understanding and testability
