Job Summary

JRM is seeking a highly skilled Systems and Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Microsoft Azure cloud and on-prem infrastructure for our company. This includes selecting and configuring services, automating infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and alerting, and ensuring high availability and scalability of our systems. In addition to the infrastructure support, the role will also have a significant role in End Point Management and deployment specifically around compliance (Configuration, Software and Patch Management, Device Trust).

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide Tier 3 technical assistance for virtual and physical computer hardware, software systems, and server rooms;
• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure using a variety of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Functions, and Cosmos DB;
• Automate infrastructure deployment using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates;
• Monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure for performance, cost, and security using Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center;
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in a timely manner;
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the infrastructure supports their needs;
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Azure technologies and best practices;
• Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for anomalies and other issues;
• Ensure constant availability of technical resources;
• Design and implement systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety;
• Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field required (Master’s preferred) or equivalent certifications and experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in system engineering and IT support required
• 1 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with Azure services and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with networking in Azure.
• Experience with Azure monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics.
• Experience with containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Proven track record of success in the installation and maintenance of server-based software.
• Experience creating automated scripts and software preferred.
• Exceptional networking skills and knowledge of best practices.
• High-level experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory Administration, and Virtualization Technologies.
• Proficient with Windows 10, Windows 7, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work in a Help Desk team environment.
• Willingness to learn new systems and skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Salary Information

To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
