Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist: This is a working manager who performs collections (50%) and manages the A/R team to achieve department goals (50%).

Must have:

• Construction industry experience
• Collections and billing experience – AIA. The AIA is built in Sage but we use 3rd party external software such as GC Pay, Docusign, Textura
• Lien waivers – conditional/unconditional
• Demonstrated ability to resolve billing/collections issues with GCs.
• Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and make improvements
• Demonstrated effectiveness in driving down AR days
• Effective style to manage, inspire, train and develop their people. Has 3 direct reports: 2 billing, 1 collection.
• Effective follow-up and reporting of results to Controller, C-level, and VPs.
• Strong Excel skills & data accuracy
• Highly organized
• Manages and is responsible for processing all invoices including creating pay applications and lien waivers, submitting documentation to customers, and following up on past-due items.
• Having a sense of urgency to collect past due payments as soon as possible by applying collection best practices.
• Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans and payment history
• Researches and solves payment discrepancies
• Reconciles and make adjustments to accounts as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• BS degree in a related field preferred.
