Joybird is Hiring a Store Leader Near Seattle, WA

We're seeking a Full-Time Store Leader for our first showroom in Seattle, WA.

A Store Leader at Joybird plays an integral role in laying the foundation for our retail business. You will work very closely with our Regional Manager of Retail to ensure our ongoing success in our Seattle showroom! This role has incredible growth potential as the company grows. All aspects of the store’s success will rest on your shoulders - therefore, a solid foundation of store management experience and exceptional leadership skills are crucial! You'll focus primarily on building a team of exceptional associates, executing processes and procedures that help us consistently provide amazing customer service, and ensuring that the store exceeds defined financial performance targets.

What You'll Do:

  • Coach and mentor others and be a self starter able to identify problems and quickly implement solutions.
  • Become an expert on the full Joybird catalog and provide style advice and product recommendations to suit a customer’s unique needs.
  • Oversee the leadership and Stylist team to create programs and initiatives to make our customers’ experiences even better.
  • Share your valuable insight with our product, marketing and technology teams regarding customer needs and feedback.
  • Manage scheduling and payroll to effectively meet the needs of the business and company expectations.
  • Maintain operational excellence implementing key policies, procedures, training and initiatives with your team.
  • Recruit, develop and retain top talent with exceptional customer service.
  • Use KPIs and reporting to create business solutions and exceed sales targets.
  • Open and close the store, execute system opening and closing procedures, and handle cash where appropriate.
  • Lead, uphold and embrace Joybird’s mission and core values.

Who You Are:

  • A skillful guide– You clearly walk the customer through their purchase and set expectations for delivery and your strong ability to display your expertise and exceed customer expectations means you’re the one shaping customers’ opinions of our brand.
  • Results Driven -You seize every opportunity to create promoters and relish exceeding any goal put before you.
  • A leadership background- 3-5 years of retail or hospitality management experience
  • A coach and mentor- You can motivate your team toward a common purpose through communication touchpoints, coaching and mentorship.
  • On the front lines -You are energized by leading from the front and are able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time. You are able to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50lbs while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Available and adaptable - You truly own your business and are able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
