Delivers support, connection and safe relationships while offering hope and recovery-based services. Will work closely with fellow Peer Specialists and Supervisor. Will help promote The Living Room program in the community and maintains networking with referral contacts. The goal is stabilization of guest and intervention will be both individual and group.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Metrics
Clinical Related Responsibilities:
• Able to promote hope and be a role model while engaging guests
• Clear understanding of self boundaries pertaining to the individual/families being seen at The Living Room
• Ability to express empathy with an awareness to ask for support from Supervisor as needed
Administrative Responsibilities:
• Complete time sheet
• Request time off from Supervisor
• Assist with typing and/or phone calls as requested for the purpose of marketing The Living Room
• Contribute to the overall cleanliness of The Living Room space
Quality and Compliance Performance Expectations:
• Comply with The Josselyn Center policy
• Participate in weekly team meetings
• Participate in weekly supervision
• Punctuality
Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have completed at least High School
• Must self identify as a past or present consumer of mental health services. Cannot be a current client receiving services at The Josselyn Center
• Completion of CRSS training (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) preferred but not required
