The base hourly rate for this position is $35.77 This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience. The Production Supervisor performs several duties, including, but not limited to, following written and verbal instructions, and making decisions using good judgment based on prevailing conditions. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the entire production work crew on a specific shift and all functions related to the Production department. Your Day to Day: The Production Supervisor has overall responsibility for coordinating and managing assigned resources and employees to produce high quality products safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities of this position include: Adheres to the JM Life Critical Policies (Lock-Tag-Clear-Try; Line Breaking; Confined Space; Fall Protection; Arc Flash, Live Electrical Work; and working while under the influence). Follow the Job Safety Analyses, use safe work practices, and report hazardous conditions always. Conduct/manage the Daily Safety Huddle Meetings with work crew. Lead the production crew in meeting all monthly safety metric goals. Ensure all equipment and work areas are always clean and orderly, per assigned 5S housekeeping schedule. Trains production members on Production Product Specifications, Standard Operating Procedures, Plant Rules, and all Shift Expectations Understanding and implementation of the Pay-4-Skills program Understand product specifications and manufacturing standards Understands and utilizes the RCCA/5Why Process. Responsible for all plant environmental equipment and inspections. Support the reorganization projects with the goal of reducing scrap and waste. Performs/manages daily & weekly environmental inspections Performs quarterly employee reviews with department staff. Plans, assigns, and prepares work activities for direct reports within the Production Team/Shift. Distribute Daily Shift Report to staff prior to end of shift Communicate day-to-day issues with the following Production shift Close out Production Orders in a timely manner Perform preventive maintenance as required. Maintain inventory on non-raw materials to reduce downtime Experienced in all SAP functions required within the Production function of the plant. Participate and/or drive continuous improvement initiatives. Will be trained in and respond to situations requiring First Aid, CPR, or the use of an AED. Leadership Responsibilities: This person must have the skills to interact as a leader with all plant department employees. Lead pre-shift huddles Overseeing and coaching employees Assist with setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating them to employees What You Bring To The Team: High School Diploma 5 Years Manufacturing Experience Demonstrated Supervisory Experience Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills Demonstrated Ability to Troubleshoot and Handle Multiple Priorities and Projects Working Knowledge of Software Programs Such as Spreadsheet, Word Processing and Data Base Programs.
