Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, MD is hiring for a Certified Sterile Processor.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 11pm-7:30am
  • Weekend work is required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute sterile supplies and equipment for use in the care and treatment of patients. 
  • Responsible to ensure all phases of the sterilization/distribution process for instrumentation/supplies are followed according to department and hospital protocols.
  • Facilitate the flow of instrumentation and equipment priorities for sterilization and maintaining clear communication with impacted departments. 
  • Responsible for preparing sterile supplies such as sterile linen, trays, metal-wear basins, equipment, etc. for the use throughout the Medical Center.
  • Decontaminates, assembles and sterilizes supplies.
  • Make deliveries as designated, and pull surgical case carts for the Operating Room.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
  • CSPDT or IAHCSMM Certification is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of instrument decontamination or healthcare experience.
  • Knowledge of Basic Medical Terminology, Surgical Instruments, and Medical Surgical Supplies.
