John Soules Foods is Hiring a Supply & Demand Planning Analyst Near Tyler, TX

The Supply & Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for generating weekly sales forecasts, managing production of JSF co-pack/co-manufacturing relationships, and calculating intracompany transfers between different warehouses to make sure that orders are filled while minimizing aged inventory and transportation costs. This person is also responsible for allocating any shortages and communicating them to the customer service team.

Additional responsibilities are to ensure inventory accuracy at all warehouses and that all transfers are recorded into the John Soules Foods system in a timely and accurate manner. Their process will include reconciling outbounds receipts vs inbound receipts and system transactions.

This person will be also responsible for ensuring proper inventory controls are in place and to drive continuous improvement of supply chain processes. This role will need to maintain strong communication with plant warehouses, third party warehouses, accounting, customer service and transportation.

Role Definition and Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean and format data from different sources to import it into forecasting software.
  • Manage forecast accuracy and drive improvement by communicating with sales and adjusting forecasting settings.
  • Generate forecast reports according to the company needs.
  • Enter POs, manage the cost and coordinate movement of raw materials for co-pack/co-manufacturing products.
  • Ensure that all finished goods inventory movements between warehouses and John Soules Foods systems are kept in sync and are recorded into the John Soules Foods system in a timely and accurate manner. Daily activities will include:
  • Generate Inventory reports;
  • Transfers Reconciliation;
  • Communicate discrepancies to accounting and follow up on adjustments;
  • Communicate with 3rd party warehouses to place, or release products on hold;
  • Manage shortages and overages on orders with 3rd party warehouses.
  • Identify and drive forward continuous process improvement opportunities.
  • Support Inventory target efforts as needed. This includes activity analysis, generating reporting, and destruction processing.
  • Provide timely issue resolution to problems encountered.
  • Ensure clean cut-off of all transactions at month-end for accounting purposes.
  • Facilitate relationship between 3rd party partners and all Network Supply functions (including Customer Service, Scheduling and Transportation) for John Soules Foods inventory transactions.
  • Any additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • 1 to 2 year of experience in Supply Chain.
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • ERP knowledge (Infor M3, SAP or similar).
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and deliver results.
  • Strong computer skills, excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem solving and process improvement skills.
  • Team player.
