John Burns Real Estate Consulting is Hiring an IT Support Specialist Near Irvine, CA

We are looking for a Support Specialist to provide effective technical assistance on our computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. You will learn about our IT environment and grow your skill level.
Grow into an excellent support technician with your technical knowledge. Communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. This position will be interacting with employees only that share your same company philosophy and culture (no outside customer contact).

Responsibilities:
  • Perform onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including some offsite repair for remote users as needed.
  • Proactive maintenance.
  • Work closely with our internal IT group and support group to facilitate our needs. If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
  • Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding desktop problems.
  • Answer to and perform moves, adds, and change requests.
  • Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance, and then provide performance statistics and reports.
  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all components and equipment.
  • Accurately document casework.
  • Assist in researching long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future software and hardware needs.
  • Conduct research on desktop products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend products for purchase.
  • Learn our servers, email, VPN, cloud and other IT environments and platforms to grow and assist long term.
  • Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a similar position. Desktop support in a business environment (Level 1)
  • Software support in a business environment
  • Strong administrating and maintenance skills
  • Strong understanding of technology and continued learning
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows.
