John A. Rothchild, DDS, PC

We’re looking for a full-time, friendly dental assistant who is interested in being part of a winning team! Your primary job will be to assist our dentists in serving our patients to ensure they leave our practice with a smile. Our employees are 3 times happier on their jobs than average! If you like fast-moving days and want to learn about whole body health, the office of John A. Rothchild, DDS is looking to add a friendly, energetic, self-motivated dental assistant /patient coordinator to our team! Our dental office is high-tech, and health-oriented, with the understanding that what goes in your mouth can affect your whole body.

Workdays are Monday-Thursday with some Fridays in the future. Benefits are many including health, dental, eye insurance, PTO, and 401K.

Additional dental assisting responsibilities include preparing the work area and equipment for exams or procedures, as well as administrative duties like obtaining dental records and scheduling appointments. Responsibilities
  • Write down treatment information after every visit and ensure patient records include current dental histories
  • Get the patient area ready for any examinations or procedures by preparing equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and sanitizing and laying out dental instruments
  • Give patients advice on a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile
  • Provide postoperative instructions to patients so they are informed about how to care for their teeth and gums after procedures to prevent infection
  • Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments and ensure each patient's mouth is comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
Qualifications
  • Candidates must have graduated from an accredited dental assistance program with an associate’s degree
  • Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks
  • Superb multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service
Compensation
$19 - $21 hourly

We are a whole health-oriented dental office with the philosophy that what is in your mouth and what goes in your mouth can affect your total health. Our dental expertise includes restorative dentistry, CAD CAM technology, 3D printing, Oral Surgery, Implant placement, Periodontal Laser therapy, and Laser procedures instead of the drill. We also do aligner orthodontics, TMJ treatment, and appliances for obstructive sleep apnea. We are more than just a drill-and-fill dental office. We are a team that works well together and enjoys each other. We are an office that keeps on learning and evolving.
