Join our Team as a Vehicle Technician

In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles. As a respected Technician II at Penske, you will have the independence to perform major and minor repairs, diagnose issues through road tests, and mentor new technicians. Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of vehicles for our customers
  • Perform timely preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment
  • Repair and troubleshoot various components such as engines, transmissions, and fuel systems
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for repairs and diagnostics
  • Participate in Penske's technician training
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks as directed by supervisor

General Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in vehicle maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus
  • Specialized training and experience in troubleshooting major components is preferred
  • Familiarity with diagnostic, hand, and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • Willingness to travel as required, complete background checks and pass drug screenings
