JOANN Distribution & OMNI Fulfillment Centers utilize optimal processes and the latest technology to create a state-of-the-art inventory distribution system. Here, we control the flow of product to our entire network of stores. Our Team Members focus on quality and efficiency to ensure that JOANN products –from fabrics to frames –are delivered safely to our stores and on schedule for our customers. Whether you operate material handling equipment to unload or replenish inventory, fulfill orders or prepare the orders for shipments, you will be an integral component of our business. SUMMARY Responsible for managing all facility maintenance to include building, grounds, and all support equipment within a high-volume, fully automated retail distribution center. Manage all aspects of maintenance personnel across 3 shifts. Directly oversee all maintenance activities to include preventative maintenance (PM), repairs and work orders. Ensure all responsibilities are carried out according to all safety regulations and code requirements. All facility maintenance needs are completed within scheduled time frames. Manage and coordinate all outside vendor proposals, services, and agreements. SCOPE Manage payroll budget for department, maintenance parts and repair budget. Must also manage, track, and purchase spare parts for inventory. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Order spare / replacement parts Manage and distribute work orders for daily repairs and manage process for MP2 Monitor progress on jobs and projects Trouble shoot problems daily and follow thru with solutions Publish reports for costs and damages by area ; research cost saving alternatives Oversee all preventative maintenance on equipment in the DC SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Manage team members by following the core values of the organization. Directly oversee the repairs and maintenance of all areas of the facility, its grounds, and all equipment. Understand systems such as conveyor, sort view, graphical monitors, and rapid sort controller. Manage MP2 to ensure all database information is current and maintained; PM work orders and parts inventory are current and accurate. Contact vendors for quotes and/or technical information. Maintain working relationship with suppliers, vendors, and contractors as necessary. Maintain all tracking reports of all areas to manage facility maintenance and company assets. Good analytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutions. Skilled in blue print reading.
