Jhpiego is Hiring a HR Coordinator Near Baltimore, MD

Overview

The HR Coordinator will provide general administrative and operational support to the Global Human Resources team. The HR Coordinator will also provide management support across the department, including providing administrative support to the GHR team, supporting departmental meetings, events and activities, managing procurements and contracts and working closely with the CHRO and Global Talent Acquisition Lead to develop and manage workplans and budgets.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Baltimore office. Jhpiego's hybrid schedule requires employees to work in the office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Provides administrative support for various HR
  • Maintains the department’s calendar and schedule any meetings
  • Assists in organizing and providing logistical support to departmental internal events, including retreats, trainings, and workshops.
  • Processes all HR related invoices for payment through SAP system
  • Works with Contracts Management and Compliance Division to process all HR contractual documents
  • Responds to HR and related requests from organizational info mailbox
  • Monitors Sentinel account for US and field staff

Recruitment

  • Supports the global talent acquisition team in general administrative tasks
  • Coordinates background and reference checks, and verify accuracy when appropriate.
  • Assists with preparation of career fairs and other networking events.
  • Assists the Talent Acquisition team in coordinating Interviews
  • Assists in collecting job requisitions from hiring managers.

Database Management

  • Monitors and maintains Jhpiego’s Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS)
  • Ensures the Jhpiego Applicant Tracking System is up to date with new and current information on prospective candidates.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Additional related experience may substitute for required education to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.)
  • 2 years' experience supporting HR function(s)
  • Working knowledge of social media
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented and self-starter with ability to maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality in fast paced environment
  • Understanding of administrative processes and approaches and financial reporting and reconciliation
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities and assignments
  • Strong service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with both peers and senior level staff
  • Ability to interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Proficiency in use of the Internet and Databases as a research tool.
  • Strong interest in developing recruitment skills and competencies.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Work independently and be self-motivated
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Aware of and sensitive to working in multiple socio-economic settings and with multi-cultural groups
  • Experience with SAP or applicant tracking system such as iCIMS or Taleo preferred
  • Strong demonstrated MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • International development work experience will be an added advantage
