Responsibilities

Human Resource Leadership and Execution

· Responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all human resource functions across the company supporting company’s stated values and initiatives.

· Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s strategic vision.

· Function as a strategic business advisor to the Executive Management Team regarding key organizational and management issues.

· Leads the human resource aspects of major change initiatives.

· Hire, supervise, coach, develop, and motivate direct reports, focusing on recruiting and retaining top performers across the organization.

· Develop and manage budgets related to HR expenses. 

Compensation and Benefits

· Responsible for ensuring an appropriate, competitive and cost-effective benefits package as well as overseeing plan administration. 

· Manage the compensation structure and strategy along with the performance review process.

Recruiting and Organizational Development

· Responsible for the oversight and execution of the recruiting strategy and process to ensure hiring top-notch candidates (both internally and externally).

· Working with the Executive Management Team, establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company. 

· Work closely with managers to determine appropriate staffing and ensure employee engagement.

Employee Relations and Compliance

· Responsible for driving positive employee/labor relations and monitoring and ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.

· Establish and ensure consistent application of HR programs, policies and practices used throughout the company.

· Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment, serving as a resource to employees in resolving workplace issues and addressing their concerns.

· Ensure effective company-wide communications.

· Other duties and projects as assigned. 

Requirements

· A bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience is required. A master’s degree and/or SHRM professional certification is preferred. 

· A minimum of ten years of related HR generalist experience with at least one significant assignment in a manufacturing environment and experience with employee benefit programs.

· Prior experience overseeing employees in California and familiarity with CA state laws is preferred.

· Prior experience with Paylocity is a plus.

· Has a strong customer orientation and is able to effectively communicate, build relationships, present ideas, and lead people to meet customer needs and achieve company objectives.

· Has excellent communications and interpersonal skills. 

· Has excellent computer skills and is proficient with all related company systems and programs.

· Has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Effective time management skills in prioritizing and addressing multiple and at times conflicting demands.

· High energy with a sense of urgency in responding to organizational needs.

· High level of personal and professional integrity.

· Is committed to the company’s values.

· Attention to detail in maintaining required records and reports.
