JENSEN HUGHES has a new job opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer in our Texas region. The candidate will work in our Houston, TX office or, potentially, work remotely from anywhere in the Southcentral region (AR, LA, MS, OK, TX).
We are looking for highly motivated, experienced individuals to work in all aspects of fire protection and process safety, including building code consulting, fire protection systems, facility siting studies, process hazard analysis, fire hazard analysis, and dust hazard analysis. The successful applicant will have a well-rounded background in either fire protection engineering or process safety engineering and possess strong analytical and creative thinking skills. The role will involve many aspects of fire protection and process safety engineering, with a focus on providing analysis on high hazard occupancies, chemical plants, and unique design projects. The position will coordinate and conduct building plan reviews, interpret the applicable building and fire codes, develop alternative solutions, prepare design reports and coordinate with design teams. The candidate will be responsible for the review and implementation of fire protection strategies and will coordinate with design teams and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
