Position Summary:
A residential apartment community, located in St. Augustine is looking for an experienced Assistant Community Manager with strong Section 8 and HOME compliance experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and developing programming to meet our resident needs.
The job entails but is not limited to:
- Preparing and coordinating leases
- Maintain applicant waiting list
- Process invoices for payment
- Third party verifications and landlord verifications
- Income certifications, posting of rent checks and deposits
- Fill vacancies for waiting list according to approved guidelines
- Provide resident support during the move in, renewal and resident process. Including education and enforcement of lease.
- Collect required data for all programming offered and submit reports in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain all reporting requirements set by funding and/or governmental agencies.
- Schedule and oversee on-going programs and events that promote health, wellbeing, and independence of the resident population. (i.e., fitness classes, health fairs, career skills programs and after-school programs for the children.) weekly van schedule)
- Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and individuals, with an emphasis on providing on-site services to residents and the community.
- Plan and coordinate recreational, cultural, and social activities in coordination with property operations staff and residents as needed, abiding by Fair Housing.
- Evaluate outcomes of regularly scheduled on-site programs and services as required for quality improvement.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive list of available community resources for residents.
- Work collaboratively in a team setting to achieve the goals of the program.
This ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years in the residential property management field
- Strong Experience with affordable Housing / Section 8 / HOME and Compliance
- One-Site software a plus.
- Real Page software a plus.
- 2 years of experience and or training in community development, social services, or related field.
- Training or experience working with diverse cultures.
- Crisis and mental health experience preferred.
- Organizational skills for event planning and coordinating programming
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Ability to effectively facilitate meeting and community gatherings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $37,500.00 - $41,600.00 per year
