In Need of a Mid-Level Systems/Network Admin 

We’re looking for an experienced IT tech who is well rounded in IT operations due to the small IT team we have. Since we are a smaller, growing team, there may be some desktop support with this position along with Server, Firewall and Telco knowledge. We’re looking for a self-starter and an individual that can hit the ground running and pick things up quickly. Ideally looking for a candidate local to Culpeper, but open to those outside of Culpeper with an opportunity of hybrid remote work depending on candidate experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation; Vendor or professional certifications are a Plus
• Demonstrated experience maintaining network monitoring tools and applications. (Solarwinds)
• Demonstrated experience maintaining hundreds of network devices and or nodes
• Troubleshoot enterprise network environments and restoring network services as quickly as possible
• Knowledge of network protocols (IP, VLANS, spanning-tree, OSPF, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience replacing and upgrading network equipment. (Hardware and software)
• Experience with capturing network traffic and running network traffic analysis via packet capture software
• Windows 10 experience a must.
• Knowledge of Imaging and Desktop Support
• Experience setting up workstations and deploying to production
• Experience with Active Directory – Setting up user accounts, Security and Distribution Groups
• Knowledge and experience with Virtualization (Hyper V environment Knowledge is a Plus)
• Experience Setting up Host Servers
• Experience setting up and Deploying Hyper V VMs
• Knowledge and Experience with Office 365
• Knowledge and experience with Veeam Backup

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience using network management tools, including viewing / creating alarms, configuration management and troubleshooting syslog information
• Experience with Cisco switches both layer 2 and 3.
• Experience with creating / modifying network Diagrams (Visio, Office)
• Experience administering and troubleshooting enterprise management tools (Solarwinds)
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with customers and other staff (technical and non-technical)
• Experience with incident management (Solarwinds Ticketing System)
• Avaya Telecom Experience
• Knowledge and Experience with stateful Firewalls (I.E. Pfsense, Sonicwall, Palo a plus)
• Experience Administering and configuring a firewall
• Experience with Remote and IPsec VPN
• Competency in implementing firewall rules

• Cisco Certifications
