CB Partners, LLC is Hiring a Human Resources Analyst Near Chicago, IL

CB partners is looking for a HR Analyst to join one of the educational institutions in the city. If you love supporting many different level stakeholders as well as creating/improving processes and procedures around employee hiring, this is the position for you!

Location: Chicago, IL

Work Environment: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Reporting to the VP of Operations and Strategic Initiatives, the Senior Business Analyst will administer 5 different types of employee hiring review and approval for the Office of the President; conduct ongoing business process review and analysis for continuous improvement; coordinate meetings; develop and conduct training and write reports. The role will coordinate hiring requests, timelines, and other activities with department budget managers, grants and contract administration, budget and finance, human resources and payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer the hiring approval process for all new and continuing hires.
  • Develop the compensation calendar for cyclical deadlines in coordination with HR and Payroll.
  • Communicate cyclical deadlines for each hire type with the different departments
  • Coordinate all aspects of hiring with relevant stakeholders
  • Review, analyze, document, and update business processes for hiring information and continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the AVP for Administration and Systems to implement and deploy the Interfolio Faculty Search (FS) and Faculty Information System (FIS) modules to deliver efficient faculty hiring business processes
  • Workflow development: Hiring approval, New Payroll Authorization approval, Revised Payroll Authorization approval, Collection of hiring documents, Confirmation of background check completion, Confirmation of required HR documents
  • Archival coordination for new hire contract with acceptance signature, approved payroll authorization, required hiring documents and: employee termination and retirement notifications
  • Conduct end-user training for college budget managers, coordinators, and employees in the Interfolio Module for employee hiring and payroll approval.
  • Work collaboratively with Stakeholders to create accurate reporting for hiring: HR to map info into Banner HR; the Controller to map all payroll data into Banner Finance; Global Studies (for International hires) to map maps all related Immigration info; IT to maintain institutional data governance and data standards and administer Cognos Reporting, the Operational Data Store (ODS) and Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or information systems.
  • 3 years of work experience in higher education with HRIS
  • Demonstrated experience working with HR for payroll administration; the ability to maintain confidentiality; and to act with diplomacy.
  • Experience with Banner HR and Interfolio a major plus!
