Position Purpose This position provides support and assistance to all functional areas within the Human Resources department. Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities Assist in the new hire and onboarding process as well as off boarding and termination process Maintain employee records (soft and hard copies) Update HR databases (e.g. new hires, separations, vacation and sick leaves) Prepare paperwork for HR policies and procedures Process employees’ requests and provide relevant information Support recruiting to post job ads on careers pages and process incoming resumes Support orientations for new employees by creating new hire packets and benefits folders etc. Scanning and filing for all HR areas Work with HR team on various projects Minimum Qualifications Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests High School diploma Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date) Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to commit 24 weeks part-time (20 hours/week) Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Excellent customer service skills with ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to handle disruptions and refocus quickly Understanding of general administrative and clerical procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes e-mail Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Diligent at multi-tasking JCB is an equal employment opportunities (EEO) employer in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
