About the Job

This is where you come in! We need people who can install, service, and maintain our equipment to keep it running at top operating efficiency.

As a Maintenance Technician your responsibilities will be:

• Exemplify and lead JBT Core Values every day; Teamwork, Accountablity, Relentless Continous Improvement, Passion for the Customer, CUSTOMER FIRST and Safety Always.
• Perform service on equipment manufactured, sold and/or leased by JBT.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on JBT equipment.
• Final inspection, installation, and commissioning of new and/or rebuilt JBT equipment.
• Lead or assist in the coordination of large overhauls and repairs.
• Maintains an inventory of repair parts on hand.
• Proactively assess problem areas or needed improvements on all JBT equipment.
• Report potential sales activity from customer follow-ups or customer’s reason for not pursuing purchase.
• Respond to the customer questions and concerns about the JBT equipment performance.
• Keep customer informed of product updates to improve operation efficiencies.
• Instruct and train customer operators and mechanics on safe operation and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Shift times will vary from day and night shifts. During peak season hours can vary between 8 to 12 hours per day, up to 7 days a week.
• 3-years minimum experience of mechanical background, required.
• 3 years minimum experience in machine assembly, light fabrication, welding, and machine tool operation.
• Knowledge to read and understand drawings, blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical assemblies required.
• Knowledge of process control systems. (i.e., utility control and measurement, steam water and air). Electrical troubleshooting skills, control loop tuning and instrumentation calibration, preferred.
• PLC systems troubleshooting and programming preferred.
• Ability to communicate well and interface with customers.
• Food industry experience desired, aseptic systems and other sterilization equipment preferred.
• P.C. skills in Word, Excel, electronic mail, and windows-based programs.
• Technical/Trade School degree desired.
• Self-starter requiring a minimum amount of supervision and the ability to maintain a professional appearance and conduct both on and off the job.
• Valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times.

Wage/Salary will be determined on evaluation of expeience and skill. Compensation range for this positions: $ 48,217.00 - $80,361.00
