ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. Assumes responsibility for the effective and timely completion of assigned inventory and shipping functions.

a. Inventories finished goods as scheduled.

b. Completes all inbound, outbound documentation.

c. Processes local shipments as received.

d. Processes picklists into computer and processes receipts as received.

e. Ensures that outgoing orders and shipments are complete and correct.

f. Identifies, tracks, and resolves inventory and shipping errors, problems, or delays.

2. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that inventory and shipping functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.

a. Follows established safety and quality standards.

b. Meets deadlines.

3. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with company personnel and with management.

a. Assists and supports area personnel as needed.

b. Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns, providing suggestions for improvement.

c. Completes records and reports accurately and timely.

d. Attends meetings as required.

4. Assumes other duties as assigned.

a. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.

b. Completes special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

§ High School Diploma or equivalent certification

§ Previous experience in warehouse shipping and receiving process and documentation

§ Knowledge of inventory and shipping procedures

§ Excellent computer skills and ability to use and learn multiple internal systems

§ Experience with inbound and outbound shipping documentation

§ Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance

§ Work with a team and be flexible with work schedule

§ Ability to speak, read, and write English

§ Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

ACTIVITIES:

Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

HEARING:

Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

REPETITIVE MOTION:

Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.

VISUAL ABILITIES:

Fine visual acuity with the ability to inspect closely or to assemble small parts; color vision; or depth perception and/or field of vision.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:

Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds throughout the day.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for the majority of their work days.
