For more information, visit www.jbpoindexter.com.As a Systems Engineer, your role will be to ensure sound delivery of technical services providing maximum uptime and exceptional client and customer service. This position will be required learn existing infrastructure, have the ability to make sound technical decisions for complex systems, and help deploy/support feature-functionality according to the business’s requirements. The successful candidate for this role will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, experience with multiple technology platforms, solid communication skills, works well within a team and cross teams, along with a desire to continue learning and strive for continual improvement. The employee is expected to adhere to ethics policies and practices as established by JB Poindexter & Co. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform troubleshooting as required. As such, lead problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support organizations. Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical systems and applications.Manage system infrastructure including, cloud systems, servers, virtual environments and other software and hardware. Provide Tier 3 escalation support for any IT issues that may arise. Regularly upgrade systems as needed. Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system. Manage/develop scripts to automate repeatable IT maintenance tasks. Organize and document system states, configuration, inventories, processes and procedures (SOPs) and project plans. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree (MIS or Information Technology related field is a plus).5 years of experience in a senior level role administering Windows systems. Strong focus in Microsoft server environment; Linux proficiency is a plus. Experience managing Office 365 (Email, Users, Applications, licensing, etc.). Windows infrastructure and domain administration (Account creation, DFS, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Domain/Forest consolidation, etc.).Enterprise patch management. Certificate/PKI management. A good understanding of networking concepts. PowerShell scripting experience. Experience with cloud environments (AWS or Azure). ManageEngine AD Manager experience is a plus.Capable of working autonomously but know when to bring in the team to help out. Self-starter focused on business problem resolution and customer satisfaction.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both highly technical and non-technical people. Process driven with strong documentation skills, capable of following and composing process and procedure documentation.Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly and with minimal support and guidance.Independent problem-solver.Self-motivated, self-starter, self-learner.Team oriented, not a silo or lone ranger.Desire to work in a fast- paced, evolving, growing, dynamic environment.Love of technical challenges and the sense of pride it brings to solve them.J.B.
