Purpose

• Performs cleaning and general maintenance of building structures, yards and grounds, and other duties as assigned. May perform general maintenance and repair on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and sanitary systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains yards and grounds as well as physical structures using hand and power tools.
• Basic repairs of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and sanitary fixtures as needed.
• Repair tools and equipment.
• Operate powered equipment such as ATV, tractor, forklift, man lifts, etc.
• Performs occasional painting or touch-up of structure or equipment.
• Performs light welding/fabricating activities, as required.
• Installs and maintains locks and related door and building hardware.
• Stocking of janitorial closets, assisting with additional janitorial tasks as needed.
• Performs other related duties, as required/needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Requires 3 – 5 years related experience and knowledge preferred. Incumbent must possess a basic practical knowledge of several maintenance trades and be able to use a variety of hand and power tools. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.

• Regular attendance is required.
