We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager! The Finance and Accounting job family manages the financial and accounting operations of the organization. General areas of responsibility include handling accounting systems and conducting financial audits; preparing, collecting and analyzing financial information for decision support; leading accounts payables and receivables; evaluating and managing credit; allocating investments and determining funding sources; handling the organization's taxation affairs; evaluating risk and managing insurance; and preparing budgets, reports, forecasts and statutory returns. Positions in finance are responsible for a wide scope of financial activities. Responsibilities Analyze the organization's revenues, liabilities, credit conditions, and other financial indicators to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term cash flow position. Coordinate and direct the financial planning, financial close process, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities of all or part of the organization. Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Oversee and direct the compilation for accurate and timely financial information for leadership. Participate in scheduled accounting cycles and adhere to associated deadlines (e.g. month-end, year-end, etc.). Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies. Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources. Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed. Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations. Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures. Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments. Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of accounting / finance professionals to ensure accounting and financial activities are completed accurately and on time. Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed. Adhering to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures. Qualifications A minimum of five (5) years of experience is required to perform at expectation. Detail-orientated with a proven ability to organize and prioritize work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups. Ability to lead and motivate individuals and teams. Operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices efficiently. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). Knowledge of financial and accounting software.
