Jacksons Companies is Hiring a Loss Prevention Specialist Near Portland, OR

The Loss Prevention Market Specialist Monitors activity in a retail setting to reduce loss. Investigates and researches illegal, improper, or fraudulent activities by potential employees and/or customers of the organization. This position supports stores in the Portland, OR market. Some of what you’ll do as a Loss Prevention Market Specialist: Monitor in-store activity to prevent shrinkage and protect the organization's assets. Periodically walk the sales floor to prevent shoplifting and trespass/remove shoplifters. Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, or POS exception reporting systems and responds to alerts. Assist with store audits to address overage/shortages as needed. Review cash handling procedures and address shortages. Verify returns or price changes when required. Respond to internal or external inquiries about accounts and associated disputed transactions. Research and analyze data to identify fraudulent transactions and minimize loss to the organization and its customers. Resolve issues by returning funds or escalating more complex investigations. Develop reports for management with fraud metrics or detailing emerging schemes or vulnerabilities. Create case files and provide case details to the legal department, law enforcement personnel, or other parties as required. Other duties as assigned. You’ll be a great fit if you have: A High School diploma/GED. 2 years of loss prevention or fraud investigation experience. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with several priorities while being flexible to shift priority. A history of coaching others to maximize their own performance. The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information. A track record of looking beyond the obvious to identify root causes and simplifying complicated processes finding ways to improve work processes. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills. Physical Demands: Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Also includes frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling and occasional crouching stooping. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
