ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC is a joint venture owned by Chevron and Jacksons Food Stores. The ExtraMile Franchise is currently made up of more than 1,000 convenience stores in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Alabama, and Mississippi. The growth of the Company has resulted in opportunities to expand the ExtraMile brand within the current footprint, as well as into other states – resulting in exciting new employment opportunities. We are currently seeking a Category Space Analyst. This position will have split responsibilities between Category Planning, JDA Space Planning, and JDA Floor Planning. Mandatory Requirements include - Advanced skills in Blue Yonder/JDA Space Planning and Excel, as well as exposure to JDA Floor Planning. This position is part of the Merchandising Team.What will I do as a Category Space Analyst?Primary – JDA Space PlanningCreate store specific data driven Planograms for the ExtraMile Convenience Store franchise network.Optimize the use of JDA Space Planning, Category Knowledgebase, Open Access and Web Publisher applications and related processes.Drive improvements, efficiencies, and expertise in JDA application usage, functionality, database management and reporting.Develop Assortment and Planogram processes for the Non-Alcoholic Beverage assortment within the convenience store.Demonstrate thought leadership and ability to link strategies and objectives to develop an executional plan.Secondary - JDA Floor PlanningDevelop Merchandising store layouts using standards, business rules, best practices and C-Store shopper insights and analytics.Deliver franchise value and a competitive point of difference though best-in-class merchandising insights, layouts, planograms and assortment planning processes and support. Perform other duties as assigned. You will be a great fit if you have:A Bachelor Degree in Business and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience in merchandising space management or advanced consumer/category /retail analytics preferably in the convenience channel. Documented experience in Category execution & JDA Space Planning. Advanced skills in Blue Yonder/JDA’s Space Planning and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup, formulas).Intermediate/advanced skills in JDA Floor Planning, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Strong analytical skills, be highly detail oriented, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills (group, written and oral). This position is preferred to be based from the HQ office in Pleasanton, CA but consideration will be given for remote work for eligible candidates residing in California, Oregon, Washington, or Arizona.
