IT Project Technician

Job Description

Essential Functions 🖥️

• New Store Installs, assisting in New Projects at existing stores
• Service calls – driving from store to store fixing existing equipment. Scheduled service calls, and Emergency Calls
• Repairing and/or replacing IT equipment (Point of Sale equipment, routers, cameras, computers, drive-thru equipment, IP phones, etc.)
• Running new cables (Cat-5, video wire, etc.) and terminating with proper ends.
• Being responsible for after-hour emergency calls on designated on-call days.

Additional Duties 🖱️⌨️

• Weekly expense reports
• Maintaining work vehicle
• Inventory control with monthly audits

Working Hours 🌞

• Full time
• 45 to 50 Hours a week
• Must be flexible to work weekends, nights, and early mornings on call. 

🚗 THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION 🚗

• Traveling over the Southeast installing IT equipment in restaurants that are under construction. 
• Staying out of town 2-4 nights a week 20-30 weeks a year.
• Other weeks reporting to HQ in Birmingham 1 to 5 times a week to receive, program, and preparing equipment to go out.

Qualification Standards 📝

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good Driving record. Must pass a DMV.
• Ability to work in a high-paced team environment.
• Frequent bending, twisting, walking, reaching, lifting to 50 pounds. May spend entire shift walking on a concrete or tile floor.
• Crawling in floors, working under counters, and small spaces
• Ability to climb and work from a ladder
• Organizational and administrative skills
• Proper communication skills (electronic and verbal) for internal and external customers
• Good at following directions and working within a defined system.
• Good personal hygiene
• Basic knowledge of computers and other technical equipment
• High energy level, self-motivated, and effective at handling high-stress levels
• Ability to make effective decisions
• Following safety procedure when working at heights (sometimes on a ladder, up to 24 feet in the air, roofs)
• Ability to operate and maintain power tools and equipment (small to large)
• Working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in difficult weather conditions
• Punctual and reliable
