Job Overview:

The Customer is seeking support in the domain of system integration and first article engineering. The focus is primarily working in a mission technology area, which includes global technology deployments of collection equipment, open source collection, exploitation, and applications development. Much of the work is primarily within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The Customer collects world wide open source data, develops collection hardware and software exploitation tools, and performs operations and maintenance on systems to collect intelligence for the Customer’s mission needs.

This position will:

• Work on ad-hoc first article cloud engineering efforts requested by Customer. 
• Coordinate with Customer leadership on cloud system integration efforts.
• Continually analyze how products appear to the internet from a technical perspective.
• Implement AWS managed services with non-secure systems.
• Provide engineering and project management support on projects spanning from supporting IT procurements to larger cross-collaboration initiatives, to include strategy and roadmap development.
• Coordinate and work on various organizational data calls and support reporting statuses.
• Provide technical support and coordination for external security review processes such as the Customer’s approval board.

Required skills and demonstrated experience:

• Demonstrated experience designing and building solutions in commercial AWS environments.

• Demonstrated experience with designing and building cloud-native applications in multiple hosting configurations including EC2, Serverless (e.g. Lambda), and container-based services (e.g. ECS, Fargate, Batch) and other AWS core services (e.g. SNS, SQS, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route53, DynamoDB).
• Demonstrated experience writing Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CloudFormation Development Kit, and Serverless Framework.

• Demonstrated experience with programming languages including Python, Typescript/JavaScript/Node.js, and PowerShell.
• Demonstrated experience building applications that integrate with Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) such as Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Demonstrated experience designing and building secured RESTful APIs.
• Demonstrated experience building front end applications using popular frameworks including React and VueJS.
• Demonstrated experience building applications that leverage relational such as MySQL and Postgres, and non-relational databases such as DynamoDB.

Highly desired, though not required, include:

• Demonstrated experience building video analytics systems that incorporate computer vision machine learning technology.
• Demonstrated experience building systems that help Customer understand how collection activities look to external systems and sites.
• Demonstrated experience with building data ingestion pipelines.
• Certifications:
• AWS Solutions Architect - Professional
• Any Relational Database (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle)
• Any UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator (RedHat, Solaris)
• Demonstrated experience with mobile operating systems such as Android.
• Demonstrated experience with the Customers AWS environments.

Security Clearance:

• The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
• Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Travel:

• This position is expected to be onsite. The position will be located within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA). 
• Local travel/POV will be on an as needed basis, within the local place of performance.
