Position Summary
J. J. Keller is looking for a Training Specialist to join our Managed Services department! J. J. Keller is the nation's leading provider of regulatory, safety, and compliance solutions. As a Training Specialist you will be responsible for building lesson plans and conducting classroom and one-on-one trainings focusing on office operations processes and procedures. The Training Specialist will work with new associates coming into the Managed Services department as well as conducting ongoing learning for existing associates.
Job Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains training materials including presentations, training activities, media files, documentation, and other applicable resources.
- Assesses learning performance and comprehension and adjusts delivery methods as appropriate.
- Utilizes training assessments tools to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of training and recommend improvements based on uncovered gaps.
- Collaborate with internal customers to ensure training content meets learning goals.
- Facilitates training based on operational need.
- Maintains confidentiality of client information under the FCRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory entities. Adheres to the department’s data security policies pertaining to Personal Identification Information
Additional Duties
- Designs, develops, and implements eLearning and web-based training content, utilizing instructional design methods to ensure effective training is delivered.
- Keeps up to date on relevant software, systems, and learning & development trends and makes recommendations on how to capitalize on them.
- Develops and maintains training templates to ensure consistency across training programs.

Assists leadership in assessing training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.

Qualifications
Experience:
- 2 plus years of experience in training or business unit expertise.
- Curriculum development experience a plus.
Education:
- Associates Degree in Education or Business, Bachelors Degree preferred
- Coursework in instructional design/adult learning preferred.
- In lieu of post-secondary education, 2 years of combined education and related experience (in addition to experience listed below) may be considered.
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to develop and utilize new approaches and techniques for training.
- Ability to evaluate associates' understanding and translate into training needs.
- Professional communication skills - written, verbal and presentation.
- Ability to identify learning gaps and individual learning styles and adjust delivery accordingly.
- Ability to assess whether or not the learning transferred and what needs to happen next.
- Knowledge of adult learning methodology preferred.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment.
