Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant.  As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment while contributing to the success of our projects.

In this role you will:

• Process a high volume of monthly client requisitions under strict deadlines
• Communicate with business partners regarding billing requirements and deadlines
• Record anticipated payment date as a result of client communication
• Coordinate with the Accounting Specialist on retainage values for subcontract invoicing
• Process high volume AIA/billing on multiple software platforms
• Process lien waivers
• Ensure timely and accurate billing to maintain positive cash flow
• Participates in developing efficiencies in the accounts receivable monthly cycle
• Coordinates with business partners and Contracts Administrator for change orders and compliance issues
• Exhibits the value of competencies for the company, department, employees and business partners
• Promotes a positive safety culture by adhering to policies and procedures set out by the department

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3 years of high-volume requisition processing in a mid to large sized company environment
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered in lieu of degree
• Construction industry required
• Customer collections experience preferred but not required
• Software Experience Necessary:
  o Microsoft Suite 
  o CMiC – preferred but not required
  o Textura – preferred but not required
• Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills
• High-level problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage shifting priorities
• Demonstrates ability to multitask
• Effective analytical and organizational skills
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software systems

Physical RequirementsSedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
