Job Title: Installation Technician Department: Operations Country: United States of America State/Province: Illinois City: Melrose Park Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Under close supervision, this position is responsible for the assembly and installation of products while providing a safe, efficient, and courteous delivery to our customers. Assist in helping load and unload items and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle and installation site. Incumbent must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility of scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes, but is not limited to, day shifts, night shifts and/or weekend shifts. Job Description: Position Details: The Installation Specialist is responsible to successfully assemble, deliver and install commercial and consumer fitness equipment product, from the beginning of the installation/project through completion in a timely, cost-effective manner working with a team and consistent with the established operational procedures and requirements and adhering to the specified Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Main responsibility for this position is assembly and installing, applicants can expect to drive only about 10%-15% of the week. Special Requirements: PLEASE UNDERSTAND: THIS DIS JOB IS VERY LABOR INTENSIVE Travel is required up to 50% of the time. Drivers are set up in hotels when needed. Additionally, there are times that an individual will need to fly or drive out on a Sunday so that the team is ready to go for a Monday morning start. Employees will be given as much notice as possible for time that they will be away, however overnight travel is required and is dependent upon the customer and job expectations. Fitness equipment is delivered to the warehouse, assembled by drivers and technicians, then loaded for delivery. Drivers and technicians complete deliveries locally or will travel (via truck, air or car) to jobsite to complete delivery and installation. Heavy touch required, good mechanical aptitude and working well with tools is a plus. Qualifications: Previous customer service experience is a plus, but not required Classroom and on the job training will be provided. (Initial onboarding will be 90 days, training ongoing) All training provided is PAID training and will include but is not limited to product familiarization, assembly & installation, loading & unloading, straight-truck training, defensive driving, DOT regulations, customer service skills and various operations procedures for a period of time at the account with a senior delivery specialist. Ability to perform physical labor, including: the ability to lift 75 lbs. or more as part of a team, sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs. Must exhibit a strong work ethic, work in a fast-paced environment, and have the ability to follow directions. Ensures customer service and professional standards are met throughout installation. Uniforms provided. Must personally manage travel time and workload.
