The incumbent will begin to build knowledge of the organization, process and customers. The incumbent will be expected to clearly communicate results and ideas to key decision makers. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: •Assists in analytics project scoping discussions. •Clearly communicates and formally presents results and ideas to key decision makers. •Employs predictive modeling (text mining and forecasting techniques) or prescriptive modeling (linear programming and algorithms) under guidance of a more senior team members. •Collaborates with business and engineering departments to understand company needs. •Participates with a team of data scientists on advanced analytics projects with minimal guidance from more senior team members. •Has knowledge of the organization, operational processes, and company goals. •Keeps up to date with analytics, technology, and understands their utility for daily operations. Qualifications: Minimum Qualification: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer and Information Science, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 2 years of experience in Data Science. Experience with R, Python or SPSS, and SQL.
