ixlayer is Hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager Near San Francisco, CA

ixlayer is looking for a prolific and talented strategist, storyteller and creator to write and produce messaging and content to expand awareness and interest in our company’s mission, vision, and purpose. This role requires a high level of creativity, making the complicated simple and understandable, and passion for healthcare.

We're seeking someone who can take complex information and communicate it clearly, concisely, innovatively, and accurately. You will communicate with multiple audiences across the healthcare ecosystem through multiple media and venues. As a Product Marketing leader, you will own brand building and create corporate positioning/messaging.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate on narratives specific to our solution and marketing efforts. Lead the storyboard and outline to create CEO “stump speech” and thought leadership content
  • Develop a strong understanding of ixlayer’s services and the competitive landscape in order to include differentiators in the narratives
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build more effective collateral and content
  • Craft customer-centric positioning and messaging that clearly communicate how ixlayer can help solve big customer challenges
  • Collaborate with internal resources like Product Marketing, Business Development, and Product to produce relevant content that meets the needs of key stakeholders, prospects, and customers
  • Collaborate with external resources such as influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audiences
  • Research and/or interview internal experts to capture ideas and distill complex ideas into effective, clear communications. Identify internal resources as company spokespeople and coach and create them on their messaging
  • Create and collaborate on content to help prospects and customers navigate the buyer’s journey; generate content that tells ixlayer’s brand story and drives demand, awareness, and/or other important metrics. That content comes in a variety of formats, including blog posts, eBooks, videos, social posts, case studies, decks, detailed sell sheets, infographics, prezis, downloadable content, thought leadership content and other collateral
  • Project manage deliverables from start to finish. Manage external vendors like video and other designers
  • Create brand resources like guides, templates, etc to advance and refresh the company brand message and look and feel
  • Support blogging and other content creation on an ongoing basis to promote the brand and align with thought leadership themes. Partner on content to attract site visitors through search, social media, and email subscribers
  • Interact with customers to create content that’s aligned with their needs and interests and helps us renew and grow our base
  • Convince others that your creative ideas are worth investing time and effort in. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every single day
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • BA/BS degree; Masters in Design preferred. Or equivalent working experience
  • Experience in B2B marketing roles or comparable experience
  • Is comfortable building stories around intangible products and services
  • Has a high clock speed and the ability to work without constant oversight or a support team
  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions
  • An independent thinker who holds an outside-in, customer-first approach to marketing
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize large quantities of IP, establish connections, draw conclusions, and distill down to key messages
  • A strong content creator and writer with the demonstrated ability to craft stories that speak to solving customer challenges
  • Past experience building audiences online and offline
  • A baseline understanding of omnichannel and integrated marketing tactics and GTM strategies
  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Demonstrated project management and collaboration skills across functional groups
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
