Position Summary:
Production Worker needed to assemble customized power distribution units.
Located in Canonsburg, PA
Position Pays: $15.50 - $16.50 /hr.
Essential Functions:
· Production Worker needed to assemble customized power distribution units
· Assembling parts, and position, align, and fasten assemblies using hand tools and power tools
· Parts should be positioned, aligned, and adjusted for proper fit and assembly.
· Attach labels and mark parts with identifying details
Additional Duties:
· Cross training to work in other functional department of the plant
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Tool selection — determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
· Verbal Comprehension is the ability to listen to and comprehend information and ideas conveyed via spoken words and sentences.
· Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
· Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred.
· Ability to read standard tape measure.
· Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· One year of experience in manufacturing preferred
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
· Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. often.
· Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
· Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
· Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.
· Vision: The ability to see details at a close range and have the ability to tell the difference in the colors of wires.
